Received an email from Eddie W. in GP who got this info from District Engineer JP. Its not clear who will be cutting the ribbon; but at this point WHO CARES - the intersection will finally be open to traffic:
Also, the West Villages Parkway road segment between US41 and River Road will open to traffic on Monday, June 13. We have a little ribbon cutting ceremony set for June 13 at 9:00 at the welcome tower at the intersection of W. Villages Parkway and River Road. Anyone that wants to attend is welcome; enter by taking River Road north from US-41 and making a left onto W. Villages Parkway at the tower. The road closed signs will still be up to keep regular traffic off until after the ribbon cutting but guest can drive onto and park on the Parkway for the ceremony.
Have a great weekend! Eddie
