April and May Meetings, 2015

This will be a late post for the Meeting held on April 28th. It is also my apology for not being able to attend the next Meeting on May 26th, assuming a quorum can be obtained. As of this writing, we don't know yet if there will be a meeting; but I will be in Miami for a long Memorial Day weekend.

At the April meeting the District Engineer position was narrowed down to just two candidates and negotiations were to begin with the desired firm.

The Supervisors also decided to re-sod US41 using Saint Augustine grass and authorized new price quotes to be obtained for awarding that work.

I visited the City Planner's office last week and obtained some clean copies of documents that were discussed during the April meeting. Looks like we will soon have a new Village B being built along the East side of the West Villages Parkway between River Rd. and US 41. Here's the proposed site plan filed with the City of North Port. The final public meeting and City Commission vote on this proposal will be held soon.
