Patty and I just returned late last night from a nice long and relaxing vacation up North. So, I missed the WVID meeting yesterday. I just spoke with Henry Hamels and he did attend. As a Realtor active in the development, he tries to keep up with the goings on in the district, too.
Henry tells me that it was a short meeting and nothing of import was decided. There seems to be great dis-satisfaction with the current landscaping contractor, and there was much discussion of replacing them. Still to be decided are security service/monitoring and land acquisition issues. Henry said nothing about property tax payments, so I assume that was not discussed at all. The Parkway / Hwy 41 intersection will open in mid-June; but Henry didn't have the exact date.
Patty and I took some pictures of the IW resort center construction early this morning. Great progress is being made and the late 2011 opening date still looks good to me. I'll post those updated pictures shortly.
