More 5/24/11 WVID Meeting Info

I received an email this evening from Eddie W. in GP with some additional comment on the last meeting, and some insight into the up coming June meeting. It sounds like the Annual Land Owners meeting may actually be worth going to on June 28th. Eddie's comments follow:

The board approved pressure washing of the Unit 1 Monuments & Unit 3 Gatehouse and Community Center, along with various change orders for Unit 1 and 2. The cost proposals for security and the security cameras were reviewed and the consensus was that the cost would not offer any significant benefit due to the many ways to enter the Unit 3 property. JP will look at alarm costs for A/C units at the Community Center.
The opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the West Villages Parkway has been delayed. On June 28th, the Annual Landowners Meeting will be held at the George Mullen Activity Center, Room C/D, 1602 Kramer Way, North Port, FL 34286   (next to City Hall).
Landscaping at GP. JP said since our last meeting, the area supervisor for Villa has been fired and will be replaced soon. Their 1 year contract will expire Sep 30th and will be up for bids soon. JP says the mulch payments and other services they were suppose to be doing and have not, have been held back since Feb 2011 and not paid.
The next meeting will be June 28th at George Mullen Center. It will be a landowners meeting and talk about the proposed 2012 budget, they will have a handle on the money at that time due to June 1st tax sales.
